Chinese smartphone maker Alcatel has announced that its latest device called the Pop Star smartphone is now available in India. Alcatel Pop Star smartphone is currently available in the Indian market via online shopping website Gadgets 360 for the price of Rs. 6,999 (USD $103.37).

Earlier this year, the Alcatel Pop star smartphone was launched in the Chinese market and has received good feedbacks from several tech enthusiasts. With regards to the design and appearance of the device, it is slim and has a body dimension of 42.5 x 71.5 x 8.6mm. The device weighs 145 grams.

The Alcatel Pop Star smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display screen with 160-degree wide viewing angle. The device is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1 GHz paired with 1GB of RAM onboard. It runs on Android 5.2 (Lollipop) operating system out of the box.

On the camera front, the Pop Star smartphone sports an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash support coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone has a built-in 8GB internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Connectivity options of the Alcatel Pop Star smartphone include 3G, 4G Network, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB 2.0 connectivity. It also comes with accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and supports dual-SIM. The device is backed by a removable 2000mAh capacity battery.  

The Alcatel Pop Star smartphone is currently available in Indian market for the price Rs. 6,999 (USD $103.37) and it comes in Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver color options.
