Reeling contenders Henan Jianye FC (4-3-3, 15 points) will look to get back in form as they face struggling team Guangzhou R&F FC (3-5-2, 11 points) in a 2016 Chinese Super League meeting at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on Saturday, May 28.

Henan Jianye is currently on a three-game winless slide after beginning the season with five unbeaten performances in their first seven fixtures. With the skid, they dropped to seventh place in the league table from as high as the fourth spot.

In their most recent game, the Red Devils settled to a 0-0 draw with struggling powerhouse squad Shandong Luneng Taishan FC on the road at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Saturday, via Soccerway.

It was the second straight drawn match for Henan and their third of the season as Swede striker Osman Sow continues to come off the bench for head coach Jia Xiuquan. The manager is said to be trying to pace him as he replaced Brazilian midfielder Ivo at the 69th minute of the game.

Meanwhile, Guangzhou R&F was upset by cellar-dwelling team Changchun Yatai, 0-1, at their own home field of Yuexiushan Stadium last Sunday, as reported by Xinhuanet.

Bolivian forward Marcelo Martins Moreno scored the lone goal of the contest at the 74th minutes off an assist by defender Yaki Yen to hand Guangzhou their second consecutive defeat.

The Blue Lions are in the eighth spot of the China top flight table, three points above the bottom two relegation area and nine points behind third-placed squad Shanghai SIPG, who presently holds the third and final AFC Champions League qualifying berth for next season.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 decision for Henan Jianye.
