The requirements to join is relatively simple: just turn up on the day of the event and present a photo ID. Gamers under 18 years old come to the event with a parent or guardian. Here is the tricky part: only the first 500 participants will receive a wristband that can then be traded for a ticket to the demo event, according to IGN.

The six-day event will kick off on June 14 at 12 pm (ET). Nintendo said that it will be live streaming the event from the Nintendo E3 booth directly on its New York store's 15-foot TV, just in case fans want to have a sneak preview of "The Legend of Zelda."

"The Legend of Zelda" was originally planned to be released in 2016 for the Wii U console. However, to give the development team more time to "allow further improvement of quality," the release date of the game has been postponed to 2017.

Nintendo has confirmed that "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U version will be the company's only playable title at the upcoming E3 conference. Nintendo said that it decided to go by this route "in order to provide attendees a complete immersion."

"The Legend of Zelda" is also expected to be released on Nintendo's highly anticipated console, codenamed NX. However, the company is not expected to disclose any information regarding this version of the game or its new hardware at the E3 event, according to GameSpot.
