Johnny Depp's attorney has responded to estranged wife Amber Heard's allegations that she was a victim of verbal and physical abuse during her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
Heard, who filed for divorce from Depp earlier this week, obtained a restraining order against her Rum Diary co-star claiming that she suffered "excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse" at the hands of the 52-year-old actor "during the entirety of our relationship."

Heard, who appeared in court with a bruised eye, also alleged that Depp threw his iPhone at her face during a fight at their Los Angeles residence last Saturday. The 30-year-old actress also submitted evidence in the form of pictures showing bruises from previous alleged assaults.
Depp is currently in Lisbon with his band Hollywood Vampires for the Rock in Rio music festival but his lawyer, divorce attorney Laura Wassner, had this to say in response to Heard's accusations: "Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse."
In the restraining order filed by Heard on Friday, she asked for $50,000 a month in spousal support, custody of her dog Pistol and sole access to their Los Angeles residence, where she lived with Depp during their 15-month marriage, sole access to their Range Rover and anger management classes for Depp for a full year.
The judge granted Heard the restraining order, which requires Depp to stay at least 100 yards away from the actress, but dismissed all of her other requests until a formal hearing.
