Antonio Banderas has opened up about his divorce in an interview, saying that his main focus is to reinvent himself after his divorce from former wife Melanie Griffith.
Banderas told E! News that his life had changed a great deal in the last two years and he used the time to reinvent himself. "The possibility of reinventing myself was there, and so I said probably this is the moment that I can do this," the 55-year-old actor explained.

During his reinvention, the actor said his children were his best teachers. Banderas, who was introduced as the honorary President of Miami Fashion Week on Wednesday, shared that although his kids might not be obedient, he did learn a lot about fashion from them.
The Desperado actor recalled one such instance with his daughter Stella. " At the beginning I thought it's not the thing that's actually making her [Stella] look better, but then I realized it was part of a tendency," Banderas said.
"I saw her coming home with a bunch of her friends and they were all in the same style, so it's a tendency. Everybody's going there for some reason. It's very interesting how people, we all, react to tendencies," he added.
Griffith and Banderas announced their divorce in June 2014 by releasing the following joint statement: "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together." Antonio."
In spite of going their separate ways, the two share an amicable relationship and even reunited for the graduation of their daughter Stella last summer.
About the upcoming Miami Fashion Week, the actor said at a recent press conference that he feels the event will be the signature fashion event in the United States, adding that Miami is "very related to fashion."
Designers who will be showcasing their creations for the June 2-5 event are Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Aguaclara, Alvarno, Ana Maria Guiulfo, Andres Sarda, Claudia Bertolero, Custo, Rene Ruiz, and Yirko. The event will also feature musical performances by Jencarlos Canela and Prince Royce.
