Emilia Clarke might be having the time of her life doing great roles, whether its playing the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, on HBO's Game of Thrones or the leading woman in Me Before You, but the actress still has to keep from googling herself in order to stay sane and survive Hollywood.

During an interview with USA Today, the actress said that she is not exempted from the fact that there are many bashers and haters especially on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.

When asked about what she does in order to keep herself away from the negativity, Clarke said that she sticks by the rule of not googling herself.

The 29-year-old actress said that even thought she's on social media, she refrains from looking at the things that people tag her in as it messes her up. She added, "Like, 'Oh, I'm hideous and fat,' but then if I don't read it, you save yourself from finding any haters out there. If you hate me, I don't need to know."

Clarke pointed out that she doesn't get noticed in public very often because her Game of Thrones character looks nothing like her in real-life. Daenerys is blonde in the series while Clarke's real hair color is brunette, because of which she does not have people following her and screaming at her as she walks down the street.

However, that might soon change as Clarke looks a lot like her real self in her character as Louisa Clark in Me Before You, which opened in theaters on Friday.

In another interview with Screen Rant, the actress talked about how her role in the tear-jerking movie is different from her Game of Thrones character, saying that Louisa Clark is optimistic and happy and is a mix between Bridget Jones and Mary Poppins.

She added that although both her characters share similarities such as inner strength, Louisa smiles a lot whereas Daenerys most frequently does not.
