While viewers wait for The Big Bang Theory to return to the screen, one of the executive producers of the show has hinted that viewers may have to wait a bit longer to see the baby of expecting parents, Howard and Bernadette.

Co-Executive Producer Steve Molaro has noted that the tenth season premiere will not feature any time jump from last season's finale. In case you missed, the last episode of the previous season found Leonard's father and Sheldon's mother engaging in "coitus" at a hotel after a pretty awkward dinner.

Without the time jump, the pregnancy storyline of Bernadette will also be affected. Subsequently, followers of the hit CBS sitcom are going to have to tune in for weeks (maybe months) before they see the new addition to the Wolowitz clan.

"We're taking it slow," the executive producer told TV Line. "The plan is to just let it roll out like a regular pregnancy."

Molaro also previewed the aftermath of the unexpected twist which unfolded in the season-ender, calling it a "weird situation." Based on his remarks, it is rest assured that things will be awkward between the duo and other parties involved.

"Anytime anybody's parents are involved in anything sexual, it's not something we like to think about as humans," he said. "So we're kind of tapping into that."

The Big Bang Theory is also set to introduce Penny's family when the show returns. Aside from her father, it is yet to be determined whether fans may finally get to meet Penny's mother and brother.

"It's a little early to say for sure, but we would very much like to meet Penny's mom and her brother, as well," Molaro continued.

The Big Bang Theory season 10 will air every Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS this fall.
