ZTE Launches Blade A2 Budget-Friendly Smartphone in China

Chinese company ZTE has officially launched the ZTE Blade A2 smartphone in the Chinese market for a price tag of around $105 via JD.com. The handset - available in gray, silver and gold colors - is the successor to the Blade A1 which was launched in December 2015.
Specs-wise, the ZTE Blade A2 features a 5.0-inch display screen with a 720 x 1,280 pixels (HD). The device measures 143.8 x 70.2 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and weighs about 135 grams.

It comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box along with the MiFavor 3.2 user interface on top. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core 1.5GHz processor and is accompanied by a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory storage and a 2,500 mAh battery.
In terms of the camera, the ZTE Blade A2 sports a rear-facing 13 megapixel unit with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) feature and a 5 megapixel shooter on the front. It has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds, according to ZTE. Other specs include support for hybrid dual SIM functionality, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio and 4G LTE connectivity. The ZTE Blade A2 is expected to go on sale on June 15.
To compare the device with its predecessor, the Blade A1 came out with 5.0-inch screen with HD pixels, a 13 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel front shooter, a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,800 mAh battery. This device also has a fingerprint sensor and supports 4G connectivity.
