American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson actor Kenneth Choi has joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Choi, who played Howling Commando Jim Morita in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the second time.

In the film, Choi has been tapped to play Peter Parker's highschool principal and will star alongside Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego, Spider-Man.
The film also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Zendaya as Michelle and Michael Keaton as a mysterious villain. There is an ongoing speculation that Keaton is set to play Vulture, but the theory has not yet been confirmed.
Tinkerer, one of Spiderman's enemy and an ally of Vulture back in 1963, is also rumored to make an appearance in the movie. No word yet on which actor will take on the role.
The origins of the film were imagined by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee. Peter Parker was created by Lee as the shy, high school student who has a passion for science and ends up getting bit by a radioactive spider. Ditko did the illustrations and added supporting characters to complete the story. He is also the man behind the superhero's iconic red suit.
Earlier this year, Holland explained to the CinemaCon crowd the reason behind the film's Homecoming title.
"It really is a homecoming because throughout the movie, Peter is trying to find out who he is and where he belongs in this world," the actor shared.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming hails from producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige. The script was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
Spider-Man Homecoming is scheduled for a July 7, 2017 release.
