‘Rocket League’ June Update Includes Neo Tokyo

Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced that it is rolling out a major update on June 20. The video game developer promised that the upcoming update would include some of the most demanded contents for the game like the multi-tiered map Neo Tokyo.

Psyonix is also rolling out a new feature that will allow gamers to trade some of their in-game cosmetic items in exchange for rare items. The upcoming update also marks the Rocket League's third season for competitive players. Psyonix is also rolling out a new quick chat options, a feature that will help gamers communicate with their friends.

Another requested feature that is set to be rolled out is the ability to allow the winning team to show off during a post-game spotlight. Psyonix said that the winning team can spin, jump, and boost their car to celebrate and show off their win.

Psyonix will be adding more than 20 Rare and Very Rare items. The developer is also rolling out new Certified and Painted items.

The Neo Tokyo area can be downloaded for free. However, should gamers want to acquire the two anime-inspired cars that go with the map, each of it costs $1.99. Neo Tokyo sports a cyberpunk theme, something that has been long demanded by gamers.

The two new anime-inspired cars, named Masamune and Esper, will be available digitally on July 18 as part of the Rocket League Collector's Edition.

The Rocket League Collector's Edition will also bring back two classic battle cars, the Aftershock, and the Marauder. The two cars were part of the Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars package.

Moreover, a physical copy of the game will be released on June 24. It will be available on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. The physical copy of the game will include the Neo Tokyo package, along with previously released contents.
