A teaser image for the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has surfaced online, confirming reports that the South Korean tech giant will ditch the Note 6 name for Galaxy Note 7. The image also supports rumors that the upcoming phablet will sport a dual-edge display.

Fans will be able to lay their hands on the much-awaited handset in the next few months while Apple reveals its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus/Pro in September.

Leaked CAD images revealed that the next-generation of iPhones will have the same design as the current iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

There are swirling rumors that Apple may unveil the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus as iPhone 7 Pro. Leaked schematics of the handset show that it will have the Smart Connector port featured in Apple's iPad Pro tablets, which allows users to seamlessly connect accessories to the device.

The iPhone 7 dummy unit has already leaked and it seems to confirm speculation that the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will not come with the port on its back case.

The official teaser from Samsung for its upcoming Note reveals that the manufacturer will use the same strategy that was applied for its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models.

There is a hint in the form of a message that reads, "Write on the edge of something great," which could be a reference to Samsung's decision to release one Note 7 instead of two models - a dual-edge curved display and one with a flat display.

It's not the first time that the Samsung Galaxy Note phablet has sported a curved-edge display. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note Edge in 2014 with a curved-edge display variant alongside the Galaxy Note 4.
