There is a new DC character joining the cast of CW's Legends of Tomorrow.
Actor Nick Zano has landed a role as a series regular in season 2, Deadline reported. He will play the role of Dr. Nate Haywood, a historian and grandson of Henry Haywood - known to DC fans as Commander Steel and a member of Justice Society of America (JSA).

The casting is connected to the show's retooling for season 2 with the introduction of Rex Tyler/Hourman (played by Patrick J. Adams) in the finale.
"We're planting a big flag that season 2 of Legends will not only feature the Legends of Tomorrow, but also the JSA," executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly last month.
"Phil Klemmer, Geoff Johns, Dan Evans, and I sat down in a room at DC with a list, and it's a long list, of the members of the JSA."
Legends of Tomorrow aired a successful freshman run on the CW, but the series is moving forward with a few casting shakeups. Ciara Renee, who plays Hawkgirl, has departed the series following her character's decision to be with Hawkman when the team finally defeated Vandal Savage.
Wentworth Miller, who portrayed of Captain Cold, also exited the series when his character sacrificed himself for the team. Even though that is the case, Miller will still be appearing in some capacity.
The arrival of Zano's Haywood in season 2 has sparked speculations that he is bound to follow his grandfather's footsteps and will later become Citizen Steel as told in the comics.
Dr. Haywood's alter ego possesses powers of super strength, organic metal skin, and superhuman speed.
Before landing the role on Legends of Tomorrow, Zano appeared in Fox's canceled drama, Minority Report. He also appeared in other CW shows such as Melrose Place and 90210.
Legends of Tomorrow season 2 will show this fall on the CW.
