The main character narrates the horrific condition of the world, where planes suddenly fall from the sky, body bags ran out, and trains and turbines don't work. In this storyline, the humans retreated into the wilderness as a result. Deacon describes the inevitable ruin and survivors that loses hope and mental stability.
The game is set two years after a worldwide pandemic, Tech Times reported. Most inhabitants were wiped out, leaving a few survivors and "freakers".
The Days Gone teaser showed the main character and described the brotherhood and the state of life before the pandemic took place. A demo was revealed during Sony's press conference.
In the demo, Deacon is seen shooting a swarm of zombies that doesn't run out. The game is about survival and how the players can escape these swarms. The gameplay makes the the zombies an interesting enemy.
The massive number of freaker hordes sets this game apart from others. It is unclear if the same amount of hordes seen in the footage is included in the official game.
Days Gone gameplay takes place in a brutal world where everyone and everything is about survival - a setting inspired by the locations in the US Pacific Northwest. The environment is fully explorable.
Gameplay mechanics include crafting, traps, and alternative paths that will decide the fate of the character.
The game's graphics are stunning, offering a realistic open world experience and weather effects through the power of Playstation 4.
The release date is still unknown.
