A new vigilante is coming to Star City.

Chicago PD actor Josh Segarra has boarded the cast of Arrow in a regular role, Deadline reported. The actor will portray the DC comic character Adrian Chase, a.k.a. Vigilante, a new district attorney in Star City and an ally of Stephen Amell's character Oliver Queen.

One of his goals in the story is to use his position to eliminate crime via the law.

It is yet to be determined whether Adrian Chase will embrace his alter ego, the Vigilante, later in season five.

Chase debuted in DC comics lore in 1983's New Teen Titans Annual 2 as a New York-based attorney whose family was targeted and slayed by mobsters. Aptly called Vigilante, he circumvents the law to seek justice for his family.

Before landing his first DC role, Segarra was part of Dick Wolf's Chicago PD. On the big screen, he played a role in Amy Schumer's hit romantic comedy, Trainwreck.

Segarra joins Nick Gonzales (Mr. Robot), who was cast as DC's Wild Dog. He will be introduced in the show as another vigilante - one with a reckless attitude.

Segarra and Gonzales' casting comes after the news that Arrow is looking to cast another new villain in season five. The character, Anton Church, was inspired by Idris Elba's role on HBO's The Wire and is set to fill the void left by Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and H.I.V.E.

The new Big Bad is described as an "apex predator" who "cuts his way through the shadows" by taking down the biggest threat first." Physically, the role calls for a man who resembles the body type of former Game of Thrones actor Jason Mamoa.

Arrow season five will air every Wednesday at 8 p.m. this fall on the CW.
