In the smartphone realm, LeEco launched new Android-based devices in 2015 and this year the company has expanded its mobile business in the Indian market - following the footsteps of many other Chinese brands. Among the most popular and impressive smartphones the company launched earlier this year is the Le Max Pro - which was unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas and was the first to feature Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset.

LeEco entered into the smartphone business back in April 2015 and since then it managed to sell around 4 million smartphone units in 2015 and over 3 million units of the Le 1s as of February 2016. As part of the company's plans to expand its presence outside of China, LeEco announced earlier this year its aim to become the third largest smartphone vendor in the Indian market this year.

Now in the U.S., LeEco's PR Director Todd Witkemper said the company plans to introduce new mobile devices, designed specifically for U.S. millennials, along with its video streaming service. The company is already in the process of hiring new employees which will help LeEco to establish a presence in the local market. According to a report by Phone Scoop, LeEco already has more than 400 employees part of its U.S. team and is aspiring to have around 1,000 by the end of 2016.
