The story still follows the adventures of the Frozen favorites Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven on their bid to restore the Northern Lights.
"All of the voice talent from the original film is back, this is going to be unbelievable guys!" announced Josh Gad in a recently-released video.
The 35-year-old Gad is expected to collaborate once more with fellow Frozen stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff on their quest to bring back the shimmer of the Northern Lights.
The story will come in four-part animated series, which will start airing on the Disney Channel this fall.
"Natural phenomenon meets cultural phenomenon in this all new story, Frozen Northern Lights,'" Disney Publishing's Andrew Sugerman explained in a press release.
The group behind Frozen is definitely "excited" to once again offer "fans great new ways to connect with their favorite characters" in the form of "books, digital games and activities."
Book stores will soon be packed with Frozen items, as Random House is about to debut the first book in the collection, titled Disney Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights, this July. The book will also introduce the character Little Rock.
The first animated motion picture hit cinemas in 2013, earning over 8.5 billion yuan ($1.3 billion) worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated movie in history. It also bagged two Academy Awards - Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score.
