Samsung's Galaxy J7 smartphone, which was launched in June 2015 by South Korean giant Samsung Electronics, is currently holding the top spot of the best-selling smartphones in Taiwan. According to industry sources, the Samsung Galaxy J7 managed to outperform the 64GB version of Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus handsets in the local Taiwanese market.

Furthermore, China Post reported that Samsung's Galaxy J5 - which was released at the same time as the Galaxy J7 - also managed to make it to the top five list of best-sellers at the fourth spot, ahead of HTC's Desire 728.
Specs-wise, the Galaxy J7 features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels (HD). This device has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615/Exynos 7580 Octa chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Other specs include support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, FM Radio, and NFC connectivity. In terms of body, the Samsung Galaxy J7 measures 152.2 x 78.7 x 7.5 mm in dimensions and weighs about 171 grams.
In the meantime, other smartphones that made it to the list include ASUS' ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL, Sony's Z5 32G, Samsung's Galaxy Note 5, OPPO's F1, and HTC's One X9. In May, Taiwan witnessed a 1.3 percent decrease in smartphone sales as compared to the 641,000 smartphone units sold back in April of the same year. In terms of volume, Samsung managed to remain at the top with 25.1 percent, followed by Apple, HTC, ASUS, and Sony.
