Huawei Honor 8 Passes TENAA Listing Revealing Detailed Design and Specifications, to Launch on July 11

Huawei Honor 8 passes the TENAA certification in China - revealing its detailed design and specifications - and will be launched on July 11 in China. In the TENAA listing, it has the model number FRD-AL00 and is expected to be different from the Huawei Honor V8 that was launched back in May and the Huawei P9 that was launched back in April.

Honor 8 will have a double-glass design with a metal frame. It will also have a 5.2-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the Honor V8 has a large 5.7-inch IPS-NEO LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
P9 has a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes with dual rear cameras similar to those of Honor V8 and Huawei P9.
The Kirin 950/955 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz powers Honor 8, while P9 is powered by Kirin 955. Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest EMUI 4.1 runs Honor 8 while Honor V8 and P9 are powered with Mali-T880 MP4. Its dimensions are 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm with a weight of 153 grams.
Honor 8 comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB through its microSD card slot. It will also have a 12-megapixel dual camera at the back with laser autofocus and LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
It will come with a circular fingerprint scanner at the back, 4G LTE with VoLTE, and dual-SIM dual standby support. It will be packed with a 2900 mAh battery, while Honor V8 comes with a 3500 mAh battery and P9 a 3000 mAh battery.
