It appears that Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is planning to release two new devices soon. The devices, with code numbers 2016020 and 2016021, were spotted on the website of China Quality Certification Center.

There are rumors that the devices would be categorized under the Redmi series or the Xiaomi Max series.

There are some speculations that the devices could be the upcoming variants of the Redmi model. Last month, Xiaomi launched two new variants of the Redmi in China - the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Xiaomi Redmi 3X.

There is also a possibility that one of the devices could be an upcoming model of the Xiaomi Max - the Xiaomi Markw - which was listed recently on benchmarking sites, GFXBench and AnTuTu. According to the listing, the device has a full high-definition display and comes with 3 GB of RAM as well as 32 GB of built-in storage. It features a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at a speed of 2.0 GHz. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S has a 5-inch display with a metal body design and a fingerprint scanner at the back. It comes in two variants: one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage and another with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The device features a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 front-facing camera. It is packed with a 4100 mAh battery. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz. It is available in gold and silver with a touch of white, gray, and black.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 3X has similar features and specifications to Redmi 3S. What makes them different is that Redmi 3X is exclusive to China Unicom network.
