Former NBA Player Manny Harris Named Player of the Week for China's NBL Round 15

Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Manny Harris of Anhui Wenyi had an outstanding double-double performance, earning him the right to be once again named Asia-Basket.com NBL Player of the Week in the 15th round of China's professional minor basketball league.
The 26-year-old American basketball reinforcement had a very spectacular game, pouring in 68 huge points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Harris led the Anhui team to a win against the league's fourth-placed Beijing Dongfan with a lopsided 27-point margin 126-99 victory.

Harris, who was the 2007 Mr. Basketball of Michigan, has turned out to be the Chinese club's top player in his first season with the Anhui. The 6-foot-5 tall native of Detroit had an astonishing 74.2 shooting percentage from the two-point range in their game against Beijing.
According to Asia-Basket report, Harris is the NBL's third-best in scoring, having an average of 39.8 points per contest. He is on the top spot of the league's best in steals, registering 4.1 steals per game with a solid 59.8 percent shooting accuracy from the field.
Anhui Wenyi currently sits in second place in the league's team standings with 13 wins and with just 2 losses in 15 matches played this season. Harris' team is just one game behind the league leader Shaanxi Xinda Wolves, which has the NBL's best record of 14-1.
Harris is a former All-Big Ten Conference guard who played three seasons for the NCAA Division I men's basketball team of the University of Michigan Wolverines from 2007 to 2010. Although he was not drafted, the Cleveland Cavaliers hired his services from 2010 to 2012. He appeared in a total of 80 official matches for the Cavs.
According to the NBA, Harris also played nine official games for the Los Angeles Lakers in the league's 2013-14 season.
