Chinese tech giant Alcatel has dropped the price of the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 smartphone on Amazon from $170 to $150. This price cut comes just two months after Amazon made a $30-cut off the smartphone's original price tag of $200. It is also a month before the first birthday of the OneTouch Idol 3. The device was launched in August 2015.

According to Tech Times, not only its price cut but also its cellular support makes the Idol 3 appealing to users. It is fully compatible with AT&T and partially supports 4G on T-Mobile but is not compatible with Verizon and Sprint.

It is packed with a 2000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The device also comes with a proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass but does not have a gyroscope that could be used for Google Cardboard.
The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at a speed of 1.2 GHz, as well as a chipset with Adreno 306 graphics. The OneTouch Idol 3 runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, but it can be upgraded to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Its dimensions are 134.6 x 65.9 x 7.6 mm with a weight of 110 grams.
