The Maimang 5 is expected to have a 5.5-inch screen display. It will feature a 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB of ROM. It will come with a 16-megapixel camera at the back with IOS function and a 4K video recording capability. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 650 or Snapdragon 652 chipset. It will have a double glass design with a metal frame unlike the Mate 8 which has a metal body.
According to iGeekPhone, there rare rumors that the Maimang 5 will come with two variants: a standard version with an expected price tag of 2199 yuan ($320) and an advanced version with a price tag of 2499 yuan ($416).
According to Android Pure, a new smartphone with the model number HUAWEI MLA-TL00 was spotted on the TENAA listings. There are speculations that it is another variant of Maimang 5 because of a 3 GB of RAM. The listing shows that the device would come with a similar 5.5-inch full high-definition 1080p display and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 2.0 GHz.
There has been no official announcement yet from the company about the Maimang 5.
