A new device from Huawei with the model number EDI-DL00 has been spotted on the website of China telecommunication certification authority (TENAA). The device, which sports a 6.6-inch 2K display and 4400 mAh battery, could be the Huawei Honor phablet. It appears to be a larger version of the Huawei Honor 8, which is set to be released on July 11.

According to Gizmo China, the EDI-DL00 will have a huge 6.6-inch screen display with a generous 2K resolution (specifically, 2560 x 1440 pixels). It will be powered by a Kirin 950 octa-core chipset clocked at a speed of 2.3 GHz. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It will be packed with a 4400 mAh battery with fast charging support. It will also have a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The dimensions of the device are 178.8 x 90.9 x 7.18 mm with the weight of 219 grams. It is expected to have a fingerprint scanner in front or positioned lower if the sensor is at the back because the EDI-DL00 is large. If this sensor is in the upper part, it will be strange given its huge size. Unlocking this big phone will present some difficulties for users with small hands and fingers since one needs bigger hands to be able to use it with just one hand.
According to Digital Trends, there are speculations that the upcoming Huawei tablet will be called the Honor 8 Max. The Honor 8 Max does not have a dual-camera setup like its siblings. With its size, it would be competing against the Xiaomi Mi Max that has a gigantic 6.44-inch full high-definition display and a larger 4850 mAh battery. The Mi Max is priced from $230 for the base model and $307 for the higher-end version.
