Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced that its latest device - the Oppo A37 - is now available in the Indian market. The smartphone is currently on sale in India for Rs 11,990 (approximately $178.58). It is available in grey and gold color.

The Oppo A37 features a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS 2.5D display with a pixel density of 293ppi. The screen is protected by a fourth generation Corning Glass scratch protection. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC processor clocked at a speed of 1.2GHz coupled with 2 GB of RAM onboard.

Oppo A37 comes with a built-in 16 GB internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. It runs on ColorOS 3.0 operating system based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device has a non-removable 2630mAh capacity battery.

The Oppo A37 smartphone sports an 8-megapixel main camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and is capable of taking full-HD (1080p) videos. It has 5-megapixel front-facing camera with screen flash features, OmniBSI+, and f/2.2 aperture.

The Oppo A37 comes with dual-SIM support (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM). It also supports 4G networks that are compatible with Indian LTE bands. The device supports download speeds up to 150Mbps via 4G Network, Gadgets NDTV reported.

The connectivity options of the device include 3G, 4G Network (with support for Indian bands), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and USB-OTG. Unfortunately, the Indian version of the Oppo A37 does not come with NFC support.

The Oppo A37 is sleek and slim in appearance. It measures a body dimension of 143.1 x 71 x 7.68mm and weighs 136 grams.
