Before doing this update, make sure that you have downloaded the OTA update application on the device. It is advisable to use a Wi-Fi network connection when doing this since this will use a lot of data unless you have an unlimited plan. Since this is a major update, the downloaded data will be around 1GB in size.
The latest Android Marshmallow update for the Honor 5X smartphone will add several new built-in applications and some bug fixes. The update includes a Doze battery life enhancement, Google Now on Tap, new open apps menu, new voice interaction service, and simplified volume control settings.
The new EMUI 4.0 features include a customizable navigation bar, one-hand mode, motion control, and Drag Actions.
The Honor 5X smartphone features a 5.5-inch display screen (1080 x 1920 pixels) with a PPI of 401 pixels per inch. It is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and comes with 2 GB of RAM. The device comes with a non-removable 3000mAh battery.
