The new image ambassador of the Chinese Super League and one of football's great Pavel Nedved is said to be impressed with the current state of the football in China. He said that Italian Serie A reigning champions Juventus FC is open to Chinese talents.
According to China.org, in Nedved's role with the CSL, the four-time Czech Republic footballer of the year winner will be helping China to promote its domestic league and enhance cooperation between Chinese football player and foreign resources, especially in his country and his former club. Nedved succeeded football icon David Beckham of England in this role.

"I am honored, but also feel a huge responsibility," the 43-year-old former La Vecchia Signora international midfielder said. "I will not only contribute my image, but also do practical work. I'm not a person good at words, and you will see my efforts."
Nedved, who is currently the vice president of Juventus, disclosed that he had " held discussions with CSL officials, and the two parties have been working on future plans to help develop Chinese football, including communications between clubs, coaches and cooperation in youth training," Shanghai Daily reported.
Under the backing of China CEFC Energy Co, eight youth teams from five countries, including one each from Beijing and Shanghai as well as the Juventus youth team, gathered in Prague in March for a youth tournament.
"I have visited some clubs and talked about the possibilities - I can't give names of the clubs, but what I can say is that Juventus is open to every club. Any club that has good players who are seeking overseas development is welcome to contact us," he said.
Nedved is regarded as one of the most successful players to emerge from the Czech Republic. He retired following the 2008-09 season, after a sterling 19-year professional football career.
