The agent of Manchester United's new head coach Jose Mourinho, Jorge Mendes, is reportedly linked to the Chinese takeover of Football League Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, according to recent reports.
The Telegraph reported that the Wolves are set to be sold to Chinese conglomerate Fosun International, a Shanghai-based investment company, for £45 million.

The report noted that Fosun has "ties to agent Jorge Mendes", a well-known football agent currently representing United manager Mourinho and his number one goalkeeper David De Gea as well as Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo among others.
The Chinese company is said to be "close to completing a buy-out of the Championship club within the next fortnight, with sources claiming it could even be sooner".
It was said to be initially reported by local media in Spain that Chinese billionaire Robin Li was the one in charge of the buyout, but it was then recently revealed that the industrial operations and asset management firm was the real buyer of the Wanderers.
Mendes, who last year sold a "minority share" of his company Gestifute to Foyo Culture & Entertainment Co Ltd to Fosun to become its subsidiary, is "heavily involved" in the buyout deal of the English second division club.
"Not only the Chinese, but also the world of football will have much to gain from this union. I am sure that within a year we will have a clear demonstration of our work together," the agent said in January of this year with regards to his partnership with the Chinese group.
The Wolves are in constant communication with Championship officials with regards to the take over and they are currently represented by the club's CEO, Jez Moxey.
Meanwhile, Sports Mole revealed that current Wolves manager Kenny Jackett will be replaced by former Porto boss Julen Lopetegui once the buyout is done.
It has also disclosed that Mendes has already lined up "a host of transfer targets" for the West Midlands residents, such as a raid of Portuguese Primeira Liga champions SL Benfica for Anderson Talisca, Pele, and Helder Costa.
