The 24-year-old native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti last played for the Puerto Rican professional basketball team Capitanes de Arecibo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Lalanne played 22 official games with the Puerto Rican side and averaged 10.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.1 blocked shots per contest. He helped the Arecibo-based ball squad to a successful campaign in the 2015-16 season of the BSN as they won the league championship title.
The 6-foot-10 tall Haitian big man will be playing for the first time in China. The Golden Bulls finished eighth-place last season in the Chinese basketball top flight with a win-loss record of 22-16.
Zhejiang managed to reach postseason of the league and faced Liaoning Flying Leopards in the first-round of the CBA playoffs. However, the team was not so fortunate as the Flying Leopards won three-straight games and swept the Golden Bulls in their best-of-five quarterfinals series.
Lallane, who was the 2015 NBA Draft 55th overall pick selected by the San Antonio Spurs, is expected to help Zhejiang in bolstering the shaded area. In his final season with the UMass, he registered averages of 11.56 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.91 blocked shot in 29.0 minutes of playing time.
After being drafted, Lalanne was not able to play in the NBA but instead showcased his basketball skills in the D-League playing under Austin Spurs, the affiliate team of San Antonio. According to RealGM, Lalanned played for a total of 50 matches with Austin while averaging 13.26 points, 7.58 boards, and 1.28 blocked shot in 2015-16 regular season of the league.
He was named as part of the West All-Star team for the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game in February this year.
