Amid the flood that has been affecting China for days now, a number of protesters in Xingtai have reportedly accused the local government for not being able to warn its residents about the flooding.
As reported by South China Morning Post, the local government of the area, which is located just 400 kilometers south of China's capital, Beijing, allegedly denied initially that they have casualties following the flood.

To put down the protest, hundreds of policemen were reportedly sent to the area.
According to the news site, the heavy casualties of Xingtai City only started to show up after 24 hours of being submerged in floodwater.
The flood in China, which was caused by torrential rains, reportedly killed at least 25 people in Xingtai, while 13, including children, have been reported missing.
In the said city, 12 villages have been affected of which the Daxian village has suffered the worst impact recording at least nine casualties, including five schoolchildren, who are either dead or missing.
As torrential rains continue to wreak havoc in China, President Xi Jinping on Wednesday has warned its people to be more careful and be fully prepared since flood, particularly huge ones, is still expected to happen especially in areas near the country's major rivers, according to China Daily.
Based on the data of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the flooding has already affected 131 counties of the six provinces.
In these areas, 1.73 million people have suffered, including their livelihood.
The President has also given an instruction for local officials to look closely into the situation as he pointed out that "protection of life" must be the priority as flood continues to affect China.
