Tech giant Apple has opened its first flagship store in Taiwan, the home country of one of its primary assembler, Foxconn. A job listing posted by Apple for its Taiwan flagship store shows that the company is looking for qualified applicants to fill the posts of customer support, sales, and leadership positions.

The opening of Taiwan's first ever Apple store took place about a month after the company listed a 30-year bond on the Taipei Exchange and raised around $1.38 billion, according to Tech Node.
Recent statistics reveal that the demand for Apple products in Asia has continued to surge over the span of the last five years. However, the number of official Apple outlets are still relatively few compared to other regions.
In Asia, Japan was the first country where Apple opened a series of stores, followed by China in 2008. Apple opened its first store in Macau on June 25.
The Apple Store is perhaps the most successful retail shop in the world. The Apple Store records the highest sales per square inch foot in the industry. However, some market analysts have noted that there has been a slow decline over the past few quarters.
This year, Apple revealed that it has experienced the first-ever sales decline of its flagship device, the iPhone. Many analysts believe that this decline, which took place during the second quarter of the year, is evidence that the smartphone market is getting saturated as more players are trying to get a piece of the action, according to Reuters.
