Xiaomi Redmi Pro: Things to Know Before You Buy

Xiaomi recently launched the new Redmi Pro smartphone in China, and it is its first handset that comes with a dual camera.
HTC was the first to come out with a two camera lens module. This function has been touted as a "premium" feature since the iPhone 7 is rumored to sport the dual camera set up. Xiaomi is set to release the Redmi Pro ahead of Apple's traditional launch, possibly hoping to get some leverage.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes with a dual-SIM function, 4G capabilities, and 4050 mAh battery. It boasts of a 13 MP Sony IMX258 sensor with a 5-lens module, PDAF autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and dynamic field depth support. Its dual-tone flash module comes in between two lenses. The 5 MP Samsung front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.
According to NDTV, Xiaomi says that the Redmi Pro is its most powerful Redmi to date because of its deca-core processor. The Redmi Pro is powered by the 2.5GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 SoC with a Mali-T880 GPU. It comes in two models; one with 4 GB of RAM + 128 GB storage and another with 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. Both models run on the Android Marshmallow with the latest MIUI 8.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is priced at 1,499 CNY ($226) for the Helio X20, 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage model, 1,699 CNY ($256) for the Helio X25, 3 GB and 64 GB model, and 1,999 CNY ($301) for the Helio X25, 4GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant.
