Images of a mysterious Meizu device have emerged on the Internet. The device appears to bear either the A680M or M1E model name. Upon first look, the unit seems to be the new Meizu M3S. However, closer inspection reveals that it could be a newcomer.
The device's rear comes with a round flash and camera, reminiscent of the Pro 6 and MX6. However, it comes with a curvier antenna. Notably, the M1E sports its 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom instead of the top. One of the pictures shows the unit with a Mediatek MT 6755 SoC or Helio P10. It also shows a 1080p resolution on a supposed 5.5-inch panel and 3 GB of RAM. Another picture reveals the device running Flyme OS 5.2.1 on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as well. It shows the Chinese company's mTouch home button which includes tapping gestures and a fingerprint scanner.

After the launch of the MX6, Meizu CEO Bai Yongxiang revealed that the company could launch a curved display smartphone soon. According to GSM Arena, the device, rumored to be the upcoming Pro 7, comes with a curved screen.
Meizu VP Li Nan was also at the press event where he discussed the company's plans with Yongxiang. They refuted speculations that Meizu is about to release a Notebook PC but did not offer a clear answer when asked if the company plans to release wearables or smartwatches. Yongxiang revealed that the MX6 is expected to reach a sales figure of more than 1 million.
