(Photo : Getty Images) It is unclear when the Meizu M1E would hit the market.
A couple of alleged photos of the Meizu M1E have surfaced online and it does not appear to have a curved display.
According to Phone Radar, Meizu is set to announce a new series of smartphones dubbed as the E line. The E supposedly represents the Exynos SoC under the hood. There are rumors that Meizu could use the 64-bit Exynos 8890 with a 14nm manufacturing process. However, a closer look at the leaked photos suggests that the phone will sport the MediaTek MT6755 (Helio P10) with 3 GB of RAM and run on the Flyme 5.2.1 on top of the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The upcoming Meizu device appears to be a mid-range phone.

The alleged M1E phone looks like the MX6 but with an antenna band placement. It could come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front snapper and various storage models. It features a unibody aluminum body with 4G LTE support. The device has a fingerprint reader embedded in its physical home button.
Meizu has become a major player in the Chinese smartphone industry in the past few years. The Chinese company sold over 20 million smartphones in 2015, representing a big increase from 2014 when it sold only 4.4 million units of its devices. Meizu has already launched a couple of devices this year. The company is expected to launch another flagship device this year and it could be the Meizu Pro 7. There are talks that the Pro 7 could be powered by the Helio X25 64-bit deca-core SoC.
