Xiaomi has launched a foldable electric bicycle called the Mi QiCycle. Xiaomi partnered with iRiding to make the three-speed Shimano internal hub bike powered by a 25-watt 36-volt high-speed motor with a 45 km or 27-mile range.
The Mi QiCycle weighs 14.5 kg or 32 lbs. It may not be the lightest bicycle, but it is not heavy compared to other foldable bikes. The wheels come in the 16-inch variety like the Bromptons, requiring the rider to pedal more than a larger 20 or 24-inch bike. The QiCycle, however, features an electric motor for an extra boost, especially for uphill climbs.

According to Cnet, the power controls are very simple to use with a choice of a full-powered assist, eco-mode or completely off.
The QiCycle can be connected to a smartphone through Bluetooth to track distance traveled. When fully charged, its 5,800 mAh, 36V battery can last for three hours or a 45 km range. The QiCycle is currently available in China for $452. It is unclear if Xiaomi will also make the bicycle available in other countries.
