Cellar-dwelling squad Changchun Yatai FC finally halted their four-game losing slide after pulling off a 3-0 smashing of mercurial team Chongqing Lifan FC in a 2016 Chinese Super League season game held at their home field of Development Area Stadium last Sunday.
It was a much-needed win for head coach Lee Jang-soo's side, the team's first in the "recent 5 rounds" as per Xinhuanet, as they are still at the bottom of the 16-team China top flight table with 16 points.

The closest team above them is Shijiazhuang Ever Bright with 19 points and at the 14th spot is reeling powerhouse Shandong Luneng Taishan with 20 points. If Changchun could win their next two games against Jiangsu Suning and Yanbian, then they have the chance to get out of the bottom two relegation area.
Newly-acquired Brazilian striker Bruno Meneghel, who came from Japanese second-tier club Cerezo Osaka, scored the first goal of Changchun right at the fourth minute of the match. It was Meneghel's first ever goal for Yatai as well, which was scored in his third game with the squad.
It was followed up six minutes later with another goal from Bolivian striker Marcelo Martins Moreno, which was Meneghel's partner up front in a 5-3-2 formation, with the assist coming from the Vitória, Brazil native.
Finally, Moreno scored his second goal of the night with a successful penalty kick at the 67th to complete the team's three-goal haul in the contest while pulling off a shutout against Chongqing, via Soccerway.
Meanwhile, Chongqing is currently settled at the 11th spot in the overall standings, eight points ahead of Changchun and five points above the bottom two zone.
The team had been erratic as of late, alternately winning and losing their last six games. They had scored three goals three times during their six previous matches, but were also shutout and held to only a point in two of them.
