Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its latest flagship device - the Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone - is now available in India for the price of Rs. 8,999 (approximately $134.42) for the 32GB model and Rs. 6,999 (around $104.53) for the 16GB variant.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone is exclusively available via Mi.com and Flipkart. The Chinese company has also revealed that its Redmi 3S Prime smartphone will go on sale on August 9, followed by the Redmi 3S model in the following weeks.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display screen. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The device is available in two models - one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Both models are expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

The Redmi 3S smartphone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with Xiaomi's MIUI 7 user interface on top of it. The device is powered by a 4,100 mAh capacity battery. The device sports a 13-megapixel main shooter and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone measures a thickness of 8.5 mm. The device supports dual-SIM dual standby, 4G LTE (VoLTE-ready), and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is available in gray, gold, and silver color.
