Xiaomi Redmi 4 Smartphone Likely to be Launched on August 25

There is a rumor on Weibo that the highly anticipated Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone will be launched on August 25.
The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone is said to be a low-end device. According to the unknown person who leaked this information on Weibo, the device is set to be announced by Xiaomi on Thursday, August 25.

Along with the rumored launch date, some of the specification of the upcoming Redmi 4 smartphone was also revealed. The device is said to feature a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display screen and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. Previous rumors indicated that the Redmi 4 smartphone would feature the Helio P10 processor.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone was spotted on benchmarking website GeekBench earlier this week. As per GeekBench listing, the upcoming device will feature a Snapdragon 625 processor - the successor to the Snapdragon 616 processor used on the Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone. It was also revealed that the processor is equipped with an octa-core Cortex-A53 SoC clocked at a speed 2GHz.
According to GeekBench, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone will feature the latest Adreno 506 GPU, along with a massive 3 GB of RAM onboard. The listing also shows that the device will run on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
