Surging team Guangzhou R&F FC (8-8-5, 29 points) has been stalled in their last two winless games and they look to get back to winning form against struggling club Shandong Luneng Taishan FC (5-11-5, 20 points) in a 2016 Chinese Super League season game at the Yuexiushan Stadium on August 14, Sunday.

Guangzhou R&F went winless in their past two matches after going on a four-game winning streak. The team remains at the sixth spot of the current China top flight table, a long 20 points behind league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande, but only five points away from third-running team Shanghai Greenland Shenhua for the final AFC Champions League berth next season.

Their winning run was snapped with a loss to Yanbian Funde two matchdays ago before they settled to a 3-3 draw with Shanghai SIPG on July 31 also at their home stadium, via Soccerway.

Head coach Dragan Stojkovic's boys could not stop SIPG's Wu Lei throughout the entire game as the winger netted a hat trick at the 20th, 50th, and 90th+1 minutes after Brazilian forward Renatinho opened the scoring at the 17th off an assist from Israeli striker Eran Zahavi.

Local midfielder Wang Song and Zahavi each scored a goal to salvage the draw and earn Guangzhou a point in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Shandong Luneng suffered a second straight setback, losing to Yanbian Funde, 1-2, at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium on July 30, as per Xinhuanet.

Midfielder Liu Binbin was the only scorer of the night for head coach Felix Magath while Chi Zhongguo and Yoon Bit-garam netted a goal each for Yanbian to hand Taishan Dui their 11th loss this term.

The predicted result is a 2-1 victory for Guangzhou R&F.
