Price of Huawei Honor 8 Smartphone Revealed Prior to Official Launch of Device in Malaysia

Before the official launch of the Huawei Honor 8 smartphone in Malaysia, the price of the device has been leaked online. According to an unnamed local online store in the region, the device will come in two variants - a version with 4GB RAM / 32GB ROM priced at RM 1,699 ($420.02) and 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM priced at RM1,899 ($469.46).

The Huawei Honor 8 smartphone was initially launched in China. Earlier this month, the device also hit the shelves in some international markets including the United States, Middle East, Europe, and Russia. The device is set to be launched officially in Malaysia on Sept. 6.
The Huawei Honor 8 smartphone features a 5.2-inch Full HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) LTPS display screen with 2.5D glass. The device is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, clocked at a speed of 2.3GHz. The smartphone comes in two models - 4GB RAM / 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM.
The Huawei Honor 8 sports 12-megapixels dual cameras with 6P lens, f/2.2 aperture laser autofocus, and dual tone LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box, along with Huawei's latest EMUI 4.1 user interface.
The Honor 8 is fueled by a non-removable 3,000mAh capacity battery inside that supports fast charging with the 9V/2A power adapter. The connectivity options of the device include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, and USB 2.0 Type-C port.
