BLU Mobile, the company that rebrands and markets Gionee devices in regions where they are hard to come by, recently unveiled its latest device, the BLU Pure RX, which is a rebranded version of the Gionee S8.

Since BLU Mobile is just rebranding the tried and tested Gionee S8, the two phones share the same specs. The BLUE Pure XR has a 5.5-inch Full HD SuperAMOLED display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2GHz, and a Mali T860 graphics processing unit. The device has 4GB of memory and 64G of storage space which is expandable via microSD for users who need extra space.

The BLU Pure RX sports a 16-megapixel rear facing main camera with autofocus, phase detection, and LED flash. It also has an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfie shots.

The MediaTek Helio P10 chipset offers a bunch of interesting features, like LTE Cat.6 support, and a fingerprint scanner which is located on the front Home button. It also supports dual-SIM configuration, USB Type-C. It has a 3000mAh battery pack which can support MediaTek's fast charging technology, ExpressPump reported.

According to Engadget, one of the most interesting, and probably intriguing, features of the BLU Pure RX is its "3D Touch" support. 3D Touch is a proprietary technology patented by Apple.

The BLU Pure RX comes with a full metal, unibody design. It comes in two colors: gold and gray. The BLU Pure RX costs $299.
