Homtom HT10 Retina Scanner Explained

When Chinese smartphone manufacturer Homtom released the HT10, the company banked on the device's improved eye recognition scanning technology as one of its biggest selling points. Homtom claims that the H10 features the same technology that was integrated into the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
To shed more light into the new retina scanning technology, Homtom has explained how the scanning process works. Many security experts consider retina scanning as a very safe, accurate, and secure authentication method since every person has a unique retina pattern.

According to Giz China, the Homtom retina scanning technology uses a complex set of algorithm which is capable of identifying up to 266 recognition points, making it more accurate that any biometric methods. The retina scanning technology, thanks to the impressive computing power of the Homtom HT10, can unlock the device in merely 0.3 seconds. It also works even in a low-lit environment and even if the user wears glasses.
Aside from its powerful retina scanner, the Homtom HT10 also supports a wide array of 4G network bands.
The Homtom HT10 has a 5.5-inch display. Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio X20 MTK6797 chipset with 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage space. On the camera aspect, the HT10 has a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front shooter. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 3200mAh battery pack.
