Former Xinjiang Flying Tigers Player Sebastian Telfair to Play in Italy

Former Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) foreign basketball player Sebastian Telfair has agreed to a deal to play for Serie A Italian professional basketball club Auxilium CUS Torino.
According to Asia-Basket, Telfair, 31, played 22 official matches with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China's prestigious basketball league in its 2014-15 season. Telfair averaged 19.9 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.

The Brooklyn, New York-born American point guard signed with the CBA side Tianjin Ronggang in October 2013 after a short stint with the Toronto Raptors, where he appeared in 13 official matches during the 2012-13 NBA season. Telfair also played 46 games for the Phoenix Suns during that same season, posting an average of 6.0 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 17.3 minutes.
Telfair is listed as 6-foot-0 tall (1.83 meters) and weighs 170 pounds (77 kilograms). He is a product of Abraham Lincoln High School and was drafted in the 2004 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers where he played for a total of 136 games in two seasons.
According to 247 Sports, the former NBA journeyman recently worked out with the San Antonio Spurs. the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. He has compiled a total of 564 games in over the course of his ten-year NBA career.
