Chinese smartphone manufacturer TCL is pushing the boundaries of the cameras on devices even further by equipping its upcoming TCL 589 with a quad camera setup.
According to Giz China, the TCL 589 has two front facing camera, a 5-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. The TCL equipped the device with a dual 13-megapixel sensor. TCL is yet to confirm what type of setup the rear camera will be. However, there are rumors that it would follow the Huawei P9 camera configuration wherein one camera will take colored photos while the other one takes only monochrome snaps.

The TCL 589 comes with the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a deca-core processor, 4GB of memory, and 64GB of storage space. The TCL 589 has a microSD slot for storage expansion. Powering the device is a 3030mAh battery, and since it has a MediaTek chipset, it would most likely support the Pump Express fast charging technology.
The TCL 589 was recently spotted on a leaked TENAA listing. The leaked photographs confirmed the quad camera configuration of the device.
Although the TCL brand is not a familiar name when it comes to smartphones, it is important to note that the company is behind all recently released Alcatel-branded phones, according to GSM Arena.
