Two 12-year-old girls lured a friend into the woods and stabbed her 19 times in order to prove their devotion to the internet horror meme called 'Slender Man'. The meme is a tall, thin, faceless man who abducts children.

An 11-year-old boy descended to the bottom of a well to retrieve the equivalent of 75 cents his father had dropped. The child collapsed from lack of oxygen and six subsequent people who attempted a rescue also collapsed and died from low oxygen levels.
