A recently leaked presentation slide was spotted on several tech forums and it shows that the AMD Naples will be one of the premium processors that the company plans to release next year. The leak revealed that the AMD Naples will have 16 cores, 32 threads and will based on the highly anticipated AMD Zen architecture.

AMD’s highly anticipated Zen architecture was recently a hot topic on several tech forums. It was rumored that AMD is planning to launch the new technology on Jan. 17. Speculations also surfaced claiming that the first Zen-based microchips will be targeted for high-end desktop computers, and that they are expected to be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas a week before the official launch.

AMD Zen Naples Boasts of 32 Cores, 64 Threads, 64MB L3 Cache

A report from Fudzilla has revealed some specs of the first AMD Zen microchip for servers and enterprise computing. Codenamed Naples, the chip is believed to sport 34 cores with 64 threads and an L3 cache of up to 64MB.

A presentation slide recently surfaced at an AMD investor's meeting and it shows the comparative performance between the company's highly-anticipated Zen processors and some earlier generation chips also from AMD. Based on the slides, it appears that the Summit Ridge processor performs almost twice as powerful as the Orichi processor.
