Chinese tennis player Zheng Saisai defeated Czech Republic’s Andrea Hlavackova in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-0, to complete her second win in the qualifying round of the 2016 Dubai Tennis Championships held at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Sunday.

China’s latest women’s tennis sensation Zhang Shuai was defeated by Britain’s Chinese-killer Johanna Konta in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Australian Open, 6-4, 6-1, held at the Rod Laver Arena of the Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia on Wednesday.

There were a few surprises at the Jiangxi Women's Tennis Open in Nanchang. Second seed Zheng Saisai was booted out by Junri Namigata in straight sets and just recently, fourth seed Hsieh Su-Wei was toppled by Chang Kai-Chen. Though there are a few seeds remaining in the draw, it could possibly be a tournament sweep for former world no. 1 Jelena Jankovic who's looking for her first title of the year.
