Salmonella Outbreak in Minnesota Allegedly Traced to Chipotle Restaurants

Health officials in the American state of Minnesota are currently tracing the source of several salmonella cases that started occurring in first week of September. Food being served in Chipotle restaurants in the state is suspected to be the source of the bacteria.

The Mexican fast food chain that is drawing crowds, Chipotle, made dining history on Monday by announcing it would no longer serve genetically modified food. The move is in response to a growing public clamor against GMO food.

Chipotle Sales Increase Amid Price Hike

Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG), an US$18-billion restaurant famous for its burritos, raised prices in April to make up for the increase in prices of their ingredients, but the move did not prevent the sales of the company from reaching its all time high, according to Fox Business.
