An 18-year-old girl in Massachusetts stands could see the next 20 years of her life behind bars, if found guilty, after she was charged with involuntary manslaughter for her friend's suicide.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office filed on Friday involuntary manslaughter charges against 18-year-old Michelle Carter of Plainville, Massachusetts, for encouraging her boyfriend to commit suicide.
