Tech giant Google has announced that it will cease the direct sale of its Nexus Play set-top box. The device had been pulled off the shelves of some major third-party retailers like Best Buy for months now. After the Google Store was restocked in early April, the search engine giant officially pulled the Nexus Play off of the online store's listing.

Google is expanding its research and development of the artificial intelligence platform. The tech giant has released a preview of how its newest AI systems, called Magenta, generates art and music. Google announced at its annual I/O conference that it is pushing an initiative to finally make conventional passwords a thing of the past, at least on the Android operating system. Instead, the tech giant will replace passwords with what it called "trust scores," something that incorporates different type of data about a specific user to determine whether they are legitimate or not.
