After eight years of hardship, Amanda Knox's Italian nightmare is over. On Friday, the Supreme Court of Italy acquitted her and former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito of the murder of British Meredith Kercher.

Amanda Knox' lawyers have put in a formal request to Italy's court of last resorts in hopes that the young woman will once again be proven innocent. Knox has been the primary suspect in the 2007 murder of British roommate Meredith Kercher.
